igus UK is adding a new product to its popular stock bar range that promises to increase design flexibility when customising special parts. As result of using the new iglidur J stock plate material, designers can obtain machined parts such as wear plates and strips easily and cost effectively with less waste.
The new stock plate material comes in sheets rather than the standard round bars and is available in seven thicknesses from 2mm to 25mm. It is made from igus' reliable iglidur J material which boasts low coefficients of friction in dry operation, low moisture absorption, wear and chemical resistance while requiring absolutely no maintenance. The stock plate material is also suitable for parts that need to withstand temperatures from -50degC to 120degC.
The qualities and properties of the stock plates create more possibilities for designers than ever before. Stock plates are available from stock in seven different thicknesses and can also be machined by igus via the speedicut service in quantities from one upwards.
