Wireless pressure control operates with pneumatic chucks

A wireless pressure control (RSS) is now available from Schunk for use with pneumatic power chucks. The control monitors the clamping pressure in OD clamping of the lathe chuck. Through wireless sensors, the clamping pressure is controlled continuously during the machining process. The signal is transmitted directly to the control of the machine. If the clamping pressure drops below the minimum value, the machine control immediately stops the machining process.
