Wyko Nigeria renamed Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria
As part of global re-branding, Wyko Nigeria, which has a Service Centre on the Ikeja Industrial Estate in Lagos, has changed its name to Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria. The name change reflects the 139million acquisition of Wyko by Eriks nv in November 2006.
The Service Centre officially opened on 30 October 2007, an event that was attended by a number of key dignitaries. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, commented at the time: "The fact that a well established trading partner from the United Kingdom has taken a bold decision in establishing a stocked Nigerian Distribution Centre in Lagos is most welcome and we all look forward to reaping the benefits of their local stock."
