2009 Profibus and Profinet conference - Excellence in Automation
"Excellence in Automation' is the title of the conference to be hosted by PI (Profibus and Profinet International) on 11 and 12 March 2009 at the ZKM (Centre for Art and Media) in Karlsruhe, Germany, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Profibus technology in 2009.
PI says that Excellence in Automation stands for 20 years of Profibus: 20 years of technology expertise, know-how and hands-on experience. Now PI wants to share this knowledge with the world of automation.
At the two-day PI conference attendees will learn about the advantages, innovations and development trends in the area of industrial automation through a series of presentations by experts and users as well as live demonstrations. The conference will cover topics ranging from Profibus, Profinet and IO-Link, to safety and wireless, device integration, diagnostics and asset management. Attendees can choose from a variety of presentations scheduled in parallel sessions.
An international programme committee chaired by Professor Dr Peter Neumann, who has been involved with the development and promotion of the PI technologies from the outset, has put its expert knowledge to use in developing a selection of high-quality and relevant topics.
The conference is oriented towards end users as well as manufacturers, system integrators and OEMs. PI will also pay attention to the developers of tomorrow, with interested students being entitled to attend the two-day event free of charge.
