3M extends Cubitron II range for steel application
3M is extending its Cubitron II Range of abrasives due to the continuing success of the innovative technology behind the products. The new Cubitron II Cut and Grind Wheels by 3M offer particular benefits for the following processes: cutting; notching; gouging; fillet weld removal and bevelling of both mild and stainless steel. Tests have also proved that not only does the range offer an extended service life against its competitors, but also performs significantly faster too. These capabilities are made possible by the use of precision shaped grain technology, first introduced in the Cubitron II Range of Abrasive Belts and Discs from 3M.
The wheels can remove the same amount of material with less pressure, making it easier for the operator to use. A number of industries could benefit from this including; ship and boat building in the transportation industry; structural steel and pipe & vessel in the metal fabrication industry, and assisting in machinery manufacturing for a variety of industries.
