One of the latest innovations by Mechan Controls is the trapped key system, which can be configured to the customer’s desired access orders – from isolators to door locks, bolts locks and key boxes.

Mechan Controls will also be showcasing the control station, this is a 3- or 4-way button system to either start, stop or reset a machine. With further development, the company has added two other functions to the control station. The first is an RFID reset button with a unique 4-billion code FOB key, is so that a user can access a machine without the fear of it being restarted whilst inside.

The second function is a ‘tag in tag out’ system, which allows multiple users to access a machine simultaneously without the fear of it being restarted while one or all of the users are inside, according to ISO 14118:2017 “To prevent unexpected (unintended) start-up due to unintended generation of start commands (including those generated within the control system itself)”.

Mechan will also be presenting the Grabwire rope pull switch. This comes with some great features, like the duel tension screen to make it easier to install. An optional E-Stop, 3-cable entry points and tensioning kit are available.
