Compact and versatile for a variety of industrial applications, the PICO-APL1 is a Pico-ITX board from AAEON. It is based on an Intel Atom E3900 SoC processor, with Intel Pentium N4200 or Intel Celeron N3350 processor. Review Display Systems (RDS) has recently added the PICO-APL1 Pico-ITX board to its product range.
The Pico-ITX form factor measures 100 × 72mm (3.94 × 2.84-inch) for use in space-constrained applications. In addition, the PICO-APL1 boasts up to 8GB memory capacity via a DDR3L 1867MHz SODIMM. The versatile board offers a wide range of I/O, including Gigabit Ethernet LAN (10/100/100Base-TX), RJ-45 × 1, one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. For storage, there is SATA × 1 and mSATA × 1.
There is an expansion slot for a MiniCard (optional), I2C or SMBus, depending on the clock frequencies demanded by the application. Furthermore, there is an optional BIO connector for a daughter board, available with the N3350 processor-based version.
The board supports a two-channel 18/24-bit LVDS LCD and HDMI at 3840 × 2160 (4k × 2k) resolution. Triple display support is also, optionally, available.
Operating from a 12V supply, the board has an operating temperature range of 0-60degC.
