Parker SSD Drives is relaunching its latest AC, DC and servo drives in a new global Parker colour scheme of grey and gold. This is designed to reflect both the advanced nature of the latest drives, many of which offer considerable performance advantages over competing devices, and the continuing integration of Parker SSD Drives within the global structure of the Parker Hannifin organisation.
Chris Griffin, Group Marketing Manager, explains: "The new livery is more than just a cosmetic change. Instead, it is the latest stage in a planned programme of product development and enhancement, incorporated under the global Parker brand, which will form the platform on which future enhancements can be built. Additionally, this programme is designed to reflect the reliability, functionality and performance of our products, with the ultimate goal of helping customers to increase the productivity and profitability of their manufacturing and process operations."
Parker's global grey and gold livery is being introduced on the latest versions of Parker SSD Drives' AC890 system drives, AC690+ AC vector drives, AC650 and 650V AC drives, DC590+ DC drives and DRV Series DC drives. Developed for use in a wide range of applications, these products share a number of key benefits for customers, delivering high levels of power, from rugged and compact units that require minimal space in control cabinets.
For example, the company's range of AC drives has been designed to meet the requirements of all variable-speed applications, from simple single-motor speed control to complex and integrated multi-drive systems. AC drives can be supplied with open-loop v/f inverters, high-torque sensorless vector inverters or closed-loop flux vector drives in power ranges from less than 1kW to over 1MW.
Similarly, Parker SSD Drives manufactures single-phase analogue DC drives, advanced high-performance controllers for multi-megawatt motors, plus servo AC and DC brushed servo drives with integral motion control, spindle drives up to 50,000rpm, and ATEX-certified servomotors.
Chris Griffin adds: "The new colour scheme is being gradually phased in across all key global products and will become standard for all new drive products as they are launched. Our new product development programme is a key part of our activities in the UK and Europe and we anticipate that a number of innovative drives, offering even higher levels of performance and functionality at extremely competitive prices. will be introduced in the coming years."
All Parker SSD drives are supported by Parker's worldwide network of manufacturing and customer sales centres, with full applications and technical support, and are available with a wide range of options.
