Accu expands its range of engineering components
Accu is expanding its range of high-precision components. Accu is a world-renowned specialist in machine screws, precision fasteners and high performance belt and pulley systems, gears, leadscrews, machine tooling and cutters.
Due to popular demand, Accu now stocks a larger range of specialist plastic variants of its stainless steel fasteners. The new plastic materials include Polyamide, Nylon and Polyvinylidene (Hexagon Bolts), Nylon (Wing Nuts), Reny (Hexalobular Pan Head Screws) and Polycarbonate (Transparent Hexagon Nuts).
These corrosion-resistant plastics are specifically designed to provide additional protection properties for specific applications. This provides customers with more component options for applications requiring UV protection, electrical insulation, heat resistance or chemical resistance.
New components for machine builders:
Accu's Hardware category has seen 10 new subcategories with hundreds more components for machine builders. Accu now stocks adjustable machine feet, industrial castor wheels, hinges, machine knobs and screw cap covers in various styles.
Accu has recently been appointed the authorised distributor of BNL bearings. These plastic bearings provide an 80 per cent increase in performance over standard machine bearings and form part of our precision bearings range, along with stainless steel rotary and linear bearings.
Accu is also now an authorised distributor of KG Gears. Brass Gears and Steel Internal Gears are now part of our precision gears range. The new anti backlash spur gears from KG gears have a mechanism with built-in springs between two gears that pull each other in order to pinch the mating gear like a scissor.
Other new products for the machining industry include Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers. These components have proven performance as demonstrated in Nord-Lock Group's Junker Test video, where the products were shown to be effective in accordance with the DIN 65151 standard.
New components for plumbing, maintenance and gas engineers:
Hose Clamps, O-Rings, End Caps which are specifically designed for hydraulic applications have been added.
New components for electronic hobbyists:
Nylon nuts and bolts, washers and spacers for electrical insulation and fastener caps for a neat finish.
New components for panel installations:
Snap Rivets, Blind Rivets as well as corresponding Blind Rivet Guns for fast and convenient panel installations.
Additional ISO-9001 Warehouses
In April 2019, Accu acquired additional ISO-9001 warehouses to support the product expansion. The 350 per cent increase in racking also supported the launch of AccuPro, an unlimited express delivery service, designed for UK customers to help provide a streamlined supply chain.
