ACS and PI bring high performance nanoscale positioning to MachineBuilding.Live

On 4 October, ACS Motion Control and Physik Instrumente (PI) UK will be attending MachineBuilding.Live in Birmingham to showcase how precision positioning hardware and advanced motion control solutions can come together to create something truly greater than the sum of its parts.

Helping customers to optimise their processes with high performance motion solutions is what drives ACS and PI, and the seamless integration of nano positioning technologies and advanced automation allows them to tackle even the most challenging of applications. From single components to complex multi-axis systems, ACS Motion Control and PI’s range of state-of-the-art controllers, drives and stages – as well as application-specific firmware and software – gives the companies’ engineers the versatility they need to deliver game-changing levels of precision into a variety of industries.

At the event, ACS Motion Control and PI will be exhibiting a unique precision motion assembly to demonstrate how combining their technologies can unlock nanometre-level, 10-DOF positioning in any industrial application, from electronics assembly and automotive manufacturing to laser processing and semiconductor fabrication.

Linear stages provide rapid workpiece positioning in the X, Y and Z axes, while a 6-DOF parallel kinematic hexapod enables the centre of rotation of a probe or tool to be fixed at any point in space. A modular ACS motion controller with an EtherCAT interface delivers rapid and accurate multi-axis motion, as well as offering simplified interfacing with third-party sensors and test equipment.

So, whether you’re a machine builder, systems integrator or an OEM engineering professional, be sure to visit stand 68 at MachineBuilding.Live to discover how ACS and PI can help you reach the next level of precision in your application.

In the meantime, catch a preview of what the companies can do here.
