AD9625 12-bit ADC evaluation board with 2.5Gsps from Mouser

The Analog Devices AD9625 Evaluation Board is required to begin designing with the AD9625 12-bit ADC, which targets demanding high-speed signal sampling applications, including directly sampling RF signals. The AD9625 is a pipelined ADC. The pipelined architecture permits the first stage to operate on a new input sample and the remaining stages to operate on the preceding samples. Sampling occurs on the rising edge of the clock, and built-in synchronisation capability allows synchronised timing between multiple devices. The AD9625 has digital processing blocks to continuously track and correct any internal errors that occur at any pipeline stage, ensuring continuous performance over various operating conditions.

An on-chip buffer and amplifier simplifies board design by reducing external components. An SPI interface allows configuration of many of the ADC options including power down modes, selecting the internal or external voltage references, gain, offset calibration values, and enabling the internal temperature sensor. The AD9625 provides JESD204B-based high-speed serialised outputs that are configurable in one, two, four, six-lane, or eight-lane arrangements. This ADI device is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40degC to +85degC.

The AD9625 Evaluation Board interfaces to an HSC-ADC-EVALEZ high speed data capture board, also available from Mouser Electronics. The combination of wide input bandwidth, high sampling rate, and excellent linearity of the AD9625 is suited for applications such as high speed test equipment, data acquisition systems, and broadcast communications equipment.
