Adaptable shop floor combo on the move

Adaptable shop floor combo on the move

This month sees FATH out and about demonstrating two of its latest material handling solutions. Its innovative adapter pallets combine nicely with its proven industrial dollies which are found on shop floors across all sectors of manufacturing.

The galvanized steel adapter pallets enable multiple loaded dollies to be moved by pump truck, roller conveyor, forklift or AGV. The benefits in time and energy saving are huge for any manufacturer continuously transporting parts within their facility to load machines or service automated or manual assembly areas.

The durable range of heavy duty steel dollies are precisely matched to all SLC/Euro 400 x 600mm containers and offer maximum flexibility for small and medium lot sizes. Available with fixed or swivel castors, as well as ESD variants, and offering a high payload capacity they are suitable for demanding environments.

When in use the adapter pallet locks the dollies automatically in place, at the journey’s end the user then safely unlocks them via a simple foot switch.

As empties, both the adapter pallets and the dollies can be safely stacked thus requiring a minimal amount space (just 1220 x 800mm) during transport and storage, which overall means the payback time for this durable, yet simple, innovation can be relatively quick.

Customers can also use the FATH Adapter Pallet with their existing dollies as it is an efficient way to transport 3 sizes of loaded dollies; 600 x 400mm (4 pieces on one level), 800 x 600mm (2 pieces on one level), or 1200 x 800mm (1 piece on one level).

An Adapter Pallet video has just been released, and may be seen here.
