Aluminium guide extrusion and roller for low-cost linear motion

Thinking Space Systems is now supplying the Kanya Aluminium guide extrusion type B19-8 and matching concave rollers. The guide extrusion is designed to clip into the 8mm slots of Kanya base 50/40/30 aluminium profiles. Once in position, an M6 bolt can be installed from the end to prevent the guide extrusion from moving.

To complement the guide extrusion, the concave rollers are 25mm in diameter by 14m thick, manufactured from black polyamide (PA 6). Each roller incorporates a pair of deep groove ball bearings with protective shields. Rollers can either be installed in the Kanya trolley extrusion or attached to any extrusion or other component. Maximum radial load per roller is 150N.

If required, there is a ready-assembled double trolley concave that consists of a customer-specified length of trolley extrusion with two or more concave rollers. Customers can also choose whether the units are supplied with end caps or connectors.

Together the guide extrusion and rollers or trolley unit can be used to create simple, low-cost linear guides for applications such as sliding doors.

The standard length for the guide extrusion is 5000mm, or it can be supplied cut to length.
