ifm electronic is launching another RFID antenna system for use with its recently introduced DTE100 RFID base station. Built into standard industrial housings, the robust new ANT513 antenna is compatible with the available HF transponders holding up to 16kbits as FRAM, and which can be rewritten an unlimited number of times. With the ANT513, read/write distances to the tag can be up to 60mm.
The ANT512 antenna uses the lower 125kHz frequency and is suitable for use with tags at distances comparable to those for the ANT513 but carrying, for example, 2048 bits of data.
These two RFID antennas are both integrated into industrial housings measuring only 40x40x66mm. The housing can be rotated to improve data transmission, and is built to a high standard. Connection to the DTE100 base station is via a standard M12 plug that carries both data and power.
As usual, ifm electronic offers a comprehensive range of accessories such as connection cables and transponders to complete the system.
These latest additions increase the substantial ifm RFID system offering, from the DTE125 AS-interface-based system using 125kHz, to the DTE800 UHF system for larger systems, and now the DTE100 with either 125kHz low-frequency or 13.56MHz high-frequency antennas and Profibus-DP.
