Astute adds range of Amphenol waterproof connectors
Astute Electronics has signed a franchise distribution deal covering the UK and Ireland with Amphenol LTW Technology. Based in Taiwan, Amphenol LTW claims to provide the largest portfolio of waterproof connectors all rated at IP66, IP67, IP68 or IP69K.
Waterproof products available include circulars, RJ45, D-sub, USB, DVI/HDMI, power and hybrid, which address wide ranging markets such as renewable energy, marine, industrial automation, rail, lighting, security, medical, agriculture, commercial defence and electric vehicles.
Gary Evans, E-Mech Divisional Manager at Astute Electronics comments: "Our deal with Amphenol LTW means that we have a water-resistant or waterproof connector to offer almost any application. Amphenol LTW carries full quality and product approvals and the company has an in-house test laboratory that enables it to perform tests equivalent to UL."
