Michael Keenan-Dilks is celebrating an impressive four decades working for one of the UK's largest fluid power specialists. What started out as a summer job in the 1970s helping out the original owners of what was then called Automatic Valve Systems (AVS) has led to a forty-year career for Michael with The Fluid Power Centre Group of companies.
Currently running the Nuneaton-based sales office for encapsulated coils and industrial connections supplier ATAM (UK) Ltd, Michael has seen considerable change during his time with the group.
He comments: "When I started helping out at AVS I still had ambitions to become a chef, but I quickly became involved in sales, before moving into marketing and running the firm's quality assurance system. I was also responsible for creating and developing the very first catalogues for the company using the 'Publisher' programme which was quite futuristic in its day!
"In the forty years I have been here I ahve had the privilege of working with a great team of people and for a very progressive and supportive company, which goes a long way to explaining why so many of my colleagues have been here for decades too."
