Atlas Copco acquires Compressor Engineering
Atlas Copco is acquiring Compressor Engineering Ltd, a privately owned UK distributor and service provider for compressed air equipment, with customers throughout the Northamptonshire and Manchester areas.
With 39 employees and annual revenues of about 3.5million, the acquired company offers complete packages in the supply, installation and maintenance of compressors and related equipment.
Ronnie Leten, Business Area President for Atlas Copco Compressor Technique, says: "Compressor Engineering Ltd is widely recognised as a leading supplier in its regions, and this move gives Atlas Copco the opportunity to expand our business with a company of both longstanding and excellent reputation. Acquisitions of this kind are an important part of our strategy as they bring us closer to our customers and strengthen our aftermarket business."
Compressor Engineering Ltd will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlas Copco Compressors Ltd and will operate within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area.
