Automatically optimised microstepping drive from Astrosyn

Astrosyn's new compact P756 drive incorporates automatically optimised microstepping. This feature ensures the smoothest possible low-speed operation, which reduces mechanical wear and increases the service life of the entire motor drive train. As a result, stepper motors driven by the P756 achieve not only very high angular resolution, but also exceptionally low levels of noise and vibration.

Rated for a working voltage of 24-75V DC, the P756 incorporates 16 levels of microstepping resolution down to a minimum of 51,200 steps per rotation. A versatile drive current range from 2.5-6A/phase makes the module suitable for high-power applications, and both small and large stepper motor frame sizes.

The P756 incorporates a self-test function to monitor drive performance, an alarm output signal, input signal filtering, and auto-current reduction. It also features protection against out-of-range voltage and current inputs. The housing presents a compact fascia of 34mm × 123mm, with a rear projection of 78mm.
