Schad Ltd, the engineering mobility specialist, is expanding its sales team, recruiting automation expert Simon Cassar to become UK Sales Manager. This appointment marks an important milestone for Schad, after the company commenced its international business development strategy with the launch of a UK-based operation in September 2011.
Simon Cassar has worked in the manufacturing and logistics automation industries for over 20 years and is widely regarded as an expert in his field. During his career, he has held sales management positions with many automation vendors, demonstrating both knowledge of the industry and strong existing business relationships. Most recently, Simon Cassar was Sales and Marketing Manager at Tritec Systems Ltd, where he was responsible for three separate divisions specialising in providing systems integration services for SCADA, PLC and networking application providers. Whilst at Tritec, Simon worked closely with the key automation vendors in the UK market, including Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi Electric, Schneider Electric, Wonderware and iFix, to implement options including training. Notably at Rockwell Automation, Simon Cassar achieved significant organic account growth, demonstrating his ability to develop a strong sales pipeline, which contributes to business development.
