Aveva MES rises in the leader ranks of the latest Gartner report

Aveva’s Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) offering, which is deployed in the UK & Ireland by AVEVA Select partners SolutionsPT, has been recognised as a global leader in industrial software in the latest 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Manufacturing Execution Systems.

It’s the third time in a row that Aveva has been recognised in the Leaders quadrant. The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analysed the company’s overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.

The report highlights companies across four headings: Niche Players, Visionaries, Challengers, and Leaders. Aveva’s MES offering has been consistently regarded as a ‘Leader’ in the report, but in 2022 has risen in the ranks thanks to a unique model driven approach to delivering solutions.

The Gartner report states “Aveva MES continues to be a device-agnostic open platform that provides for flexibility in connecting the MES layer to automation equipment, regardless of vendor. This flexibility includes system simulation and virtual commissioning of automation equipment, resulting in a process digital twin.” This enables SolutionsPT customers to realise the very latest benefits of Digital Transformation regardless of their current assets and can future-proof operations whether onboarding a new machine, or adding an entire new facility to the enterprise.

Andy Graham, solutions manager at SolutionsPT, said: “As the Aveva Select partner and sole distributor for Aveva in the UK and Ireland we are proud that Aveva has once again been recognised in this annual report. The Leader quadrant s is a powerful commendation and UK and Ireland enterprises also benefit from the deployment expertise and experience of SolutionsPT as a trusted digital transformation partner.”
