Bernstein makes the most of MACH 2014

Bernstein Ltd will be introducing new additions to its product ranges on Stand 5746 at MACH 2014 to make the most of the variety of decision makers who will be attending the 5-day event in April. A number of Bernstein's products are used in machine building applications at the point of human/machine interface. It offers a variety of enclosures specifically designed to house control panels, and an extensive range of safety technology including sensors and switches which help to protect machine operatives, as well as minimising production downtime.

Managing Director Rob Emms says: "This year will be the first time we've exhibited at MACH and we're confident the show will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase how our products can benefit a number of different UK industries.

"The 2014 show is set to be bigger than ever and will be attended by a number of our existing customers, as well as companies who may not know what we offer. Last year was our most successful to date and we're hoping to capitalise on the momentum we've built up to ensure this year is even better." Bernstein will be showcasing a number of products and services at MACH.

Bernstein's contactless safety monitoring switch, CSMS, is a prime example of a product developed to meet high levels of protection. CSMS is compliant with the newly revised internationally recognised standard for the safety of machinery with interlocking devices associated with guards, ISO 14119.

Bernstein's IP67-rated CSMS is an electronic safety sensor that monitors safety doors and protective guards remain closed. The contactless, uniquely coded communication between sensor and actuator uses RFID technology to offer a high level of protection (high-level coding) and a high level of safety (PLe) and protection against manipulation.

Bernstein's CC-5000 neXt has been specifically developed to meet an increasing demand for control enclosures that offer good design as well as high performance. CC-5000 neXt enclosures benefit from a streamlined design which can be configured in a number of different ways and customised to match the customer's corporate identity. CC-5000 neXt can be supplied in nine installation depths ranging from 75mm to 370mm, and is available in height and width dimensions up to 1000mm.

Bernstein will also be introducing its aluminium suspension system, CS-3000 neXt, which combines functionality with modern design. CS-3000 neXt components and tubes can also be customised to a wide range of RAL colours, offering the potential to bespoke the system to match the control enclosure.

Contract assembly and manufacturing

In addition to its core product range, Bernstein also offers a number of additional services including contract assembly and manufacturing, as well as a customisation option which aims to make life as easy as possible for its customers. It works with companies from a number of sectors and has designed solutions to resolve a range of identified safety issues including its bespoke level crossing safety device, SafeGate, developed specifically for the Rail industry.

Emms continues: "Bernstein Ltd has an established reputation for supplying quality products, backed up by significant application expertise. Our switches, sensors and enclosures have been developed to meet and exceed the most stringent safety regulations and we work with some of the UK's leading machine builders and other manufacturers to ensure their operations run smoothly and their workforces are protected."
