Bosch Rexroth drive&control magazine - edition 02|2013
Bosch Rexroth has published a new edition of drive&control magazine. Issue 02|2013 contains a wealth of news and articles of interest to machine builders and system integrators, including a major piece on cost engineering.
Other highlights are news of the Bosch Rexroth Fit4Filter app for finding information about hydraulic filters, news about the AV03 lightweight pneumatic valve system, and energy efficiency training for engineers working with drives and controls, whether electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic.
There is also an interview with Professor Reinhard Baumann of the Technical University at Chemnitz, Germany, exploring the advantages, potential applications and environmental compatibility of printed electronic circuits (printed functionality). Complementing this interview, there is an application story that explains how Bosch Rexroth IndraMotion components have been integrated within a web-fed printing press on which PolyIC produces transparent conductive films.
Other application stories include an automatic hydraulic stop-start system to improve the energy efficiency of a wheel loader, a Rexroth VarioFlow S chain conveyor used in an ice cream packaging line, and a special-purpose machine builder that has employed eight planetary screw assemblies instead of a hydraulic system that would have required 2500 litres of hydraulic fluid.
