Bosch Rexroth EcoSafe guarding now available from Procter
Procter Machine Guarding is now working in partnership with Bosch Rexroth Ltd to specify, design and install the Bosch Rexroth EcoSafe modular aluminium perimeter machine guarding system for customers throughout the UK. Procter Machine Guarding therefore benefits from being able to offer its customers a market-leading modular aluminium perimeter guarding system, while Bosch Rexroth gains from having one of the UK's foremost machine guarding specialists working in partnership to advise its customers and design and install cost-effective guarding that not only looks good but is also fully compliant and meets the requirements laid down in current machinery safety standards.
Depending on the customer and the project, Procter Machine Guarding can provide any level of service required. For example, this might entail the supply of EcoSafe posts, panels and all fittings that have been part-assembled to a customer's design, or a fully project managed service including a site survey, design, specification, assembly and installation of guarding using EcoSafe componentry, and bespoke components such as infill panels where this is required. When Procter Machine Guarding takes responsibility for the design and specification, all guards comply with EC and HSE requirements and are CE marked or issued with a Declaration of Conformity as appropriate on completion. If customers have prepared their own layout designs, Procter can quote against these on either a supply-only or supply-and-install basis. Where required, guard switches can be installed in preparation for connecting to a safety-related control system, saving time for the customer or system integrator.
As part of its commitment to the new partnership with Bosch Rexroth, Procter Machine Guarding has already invested in training for its sales engineers and fitters, and holds stock of the EcoSafe product range to provide a rapid service to customers. In addition, the company is adding the Bosch Rexroth EcoSafe guarding products to its own website in order that engineers and specifiers can identify and download the information they need as quickly and easily as possible.
Fitter-friendly flexibility
Bosch Rexroth and Procter Machine Guarding have recently worked together on a substantial automated warehouse application. Procter's fitters were impressed with the flexibility, quality and ease of installation of the EcoSafe system. In particular, the fitters liked the way in which posts and panels can be arranged at any angle to create the optimum guard line.
