B&R Germany celebrates 25th anniversary

Product innovations have helped B&R gain a significant market share and expand through the years. Among the company's first products was an electronic event counter for the process industry. The company took its next step forward with the programmable control systems Midicontrol and Minicontrol. While early products were designed to take on simple tasks, the newest automation products are used to solve more complex integrated tasks in the most efficient manner.

Customer proximity is a decisive factor in the continuous business success of B&R Germany, according to business manager Frank Winter. The company began with ten employees, located in Frankfurt am Main. B&R Germany has been located in Bad Homburg since 1995 and today employs 140 employees nationwide. Seven technical offices and nine sales offices ensure that processes run smoothly and projects are successful. Large auto manufacturers as well as leading international machine and systems manufacturers use automation technology from B&R.

Speed and performance are crucial at B&R. Trend-setting product developments ensuring success in the international market are the answer to the continuous increase in the speed and complexity of communication as well as the trend towards compact, high-performance machines. In addition, business manager Frank Winter emphasises the progressive shift towards total integration. The network of components suppliers, machine-manufacturing partners and users is becoming more intricately connected.
