Just in time for this year's SPS/IPC/DRIVES trade fair, B&R is presenting its expanded drive technology product spectrum, now featuring frequency inverters. B&R claims that all demands of machine manufacturing are met with performance levels of 0.18-500kW. This is an addition to B&R's ACOPOS line of servo controllers, enabling the company to supply a complete line of drive technology. Hans Wimmer, Managing Director of B&R in Eggelsberg, says: "Our customers have often asked about frequency inverters, so it made sense to add this product to our portfolio."
All three frequency inverters, namely the ACOPOSinverter S44, X64 and P88, are equipped with serial, X2X and POWERLINK interfaces and fully integrated in Automation Studio. Maintenance is easy because all parameters are saved in the CPU. This enables easier and more efficient commissioning of series machines. The ACOPOS inverter P84 also provides energy-efficiency and cost-saving benefits thanks to an optional regenerating unit or by connecting the inverter to the DC bus voltage.
