In the lead up to Offshore Europe this year no-one really knew what to expect from a show whose industry is struggling through a downturn. However, the positive news was that, while no-one expects an immediate bounce back to 2014 levels, there is a general feeling of confidence that recovery is on the way. For one show exhibitor, Brevini, there was substantial interest in its ever popular range of mechanical power transmission systems and a surge of demand for information about its fluid power division.
Within the UK there are two sister brands which fall under the Brevini group title: Brevini Power Transmission and Brevini Fluid Power. The former is already well known within the offshore industry, with a reputation for manufacturing high-quality products which are engineered to deliver a reliable service for tough applications. The latter, while being less well known, is equally reliable and has been proven by success in a number of high-profile applications.
Together the two brands offer a range of hydraulic motors, valves, pumps, gear boxes and winches, all of which are certified for use in offshore applications. The aim of the show was to educate the market on the flexibility of the two brands and show that the every product in the range will integrate seamlessly to provide fully engineered systems, designed and manufactured from a single source.
Speaking about the show, Dave Brown, Sales Manager for Brevini UK, comments: "It's no secret that it's a tricky time for the Offshore Industry at the moment, so we were pleasantly surprised by the turnout at the show and the general positivity of the people we spoke to. We had a lot of interest in our two brands, with Brevini Fluid Power in particular generating a lot of interest. We are hoping to convert this interest into business which could help us to see growth within the sector."
Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to speak to the Brevini sales team about the individual products within the range, including the recently launched E-Series gearbox and WHL range of winches.
