Readers in the UK will be aware of media coverage of the recent flooding in Tewkesbury and the surrounding area. In spite of the obvious difficulties, Moog Controls would like to assure its customers that it is carrying on 'business as usual'.
An emergency meeting between senior management and key operational staff was held at 08:00 on Monday 23 July and an emergency contingency plan was put into action. As a result, Moog is operating as normal with a staffing level of over 95 per cent.
Power to the facility is not affected and the threat of loss of power has reduced as the water levels fall.
Transport to and from the facility is also unaffected, so deliveries and receipts can be made. A good number of Moog's products are sourced from the company's overseas facilities, and customer service for these products is unaffected.
Moog is currently assessing the impact of the floods on a number of local suppliers in order to determine if this will affect the continuity of parts supply.
Customers can obtain further information and updates from Rebecca Gunn {[email protected]} or their regular contacts at Moog.
