binder has announced a new high density connector for sensor and automation applications
binder’s new 12-pin M8 male panel-mount connectors features dip-soldered contacts and is part its Series 768/718 high performance products for signal and data transmission. For many machine builders, M8 connectors are considered the ‘standard’ due to their signal and data transmission properties with a small footprint and sensors that are becoming ever smaller.
The Series 768/718 products were specifically designed for signal and data transmission applications and are already being used in the newest automation systems, sensor arrangements, industrial cameras as well as measurement and control technology says binder. The male and female panel-mount connectors are said to be easy to install and can be screw-mounted at the front. They are available in different designs with or without a shielding plat, and the rated current is 1A. Rated voltage is 32V and the operating temperature range extends from -40°Celsius to +85°Celsius.
The 12-pin male panel-mount connectors of the Series 768/718 has also benefited from a facelift with the C-coding and (when locked), the provision of IP 67 protection. The screw locking system used on the connectors complies with DIN EN 61076-2-104 and the housing is made of polyurethane (PUR). It has gold-plated crimp contacts that can be dip soldered and a nickel-plated, zinc-diecast threaded ring ensures a sturdy connection of the connectors: they are designed for more than 100 mating cycles.
