Tsubaki Kabelschlepp has received IP54 certification from TV Nord (German Technical Inspection Authority, North) for its new cable carrier TKA55. The carrier, which is particularly tight, reliably protects cables and hoses from dust, dirt, chips and spray water right up to the connection area in accordance with protection class IP54.
The tightness of the TKA55 was tested and certified in accordance with IP54 by TV Nord. With IP54 compliance the user can be sure of comprehensive protection from all-round spray water and dust entering in harmful quantities, along with complete contact protection.
In addition to the IP54 certification, Tsubaki Kabelschlepp also convinced the jury at the iF design award 2013, receiving an award for product design. The innovative TKA55 cable carrier was awarded the iF product design award 2013. The award was received for the design of the carrier - the all-round closed design effectively prevents foreign bodies from entering. The convenient contour of sideband and cover effectively prevents any functional impairment caused by the adhesion or entering of chips and dirt. The interlocking covers fit together tightly, and the smooth dirt-resistant contour of the sidebands does not allow foreign bodies to enter.
All TKA carriers are available in extreme heat-resistant designs. The material, which can withstand up to 850degC (1562degF), protects the cables securely from impairment, for example, from hot chips.
The iF design awards are among the most important international design competitions. They have been honouring outstanding achievements in the three disciplines of product, communication and packaging design since 1953. Tsubaki Kabelschlepp has received five awards since 2006.
