Cables for Automation - new free White Paper
Nexans has published a White Paper, Cabling Solutions for Automation, which discusses subjects such as reliability and new opportunities. Reliability is especially important, given its importance in automated production and the lack of international standards for automation cabling.
The White Paper provides a general overview of the machine tool and automation market, which includes industrial, service and personal robotics, and explains how Nexans serves this diverse and expanding sector.
For background, the White Paper opens with a description of the role that automation plays in the world economy, and outlines recent trends in machine tool technology and robotics. New challenges and opportunities are presented in six key areas, each of which has important repercussions for cables and cabling. Customer requirements and expectations are also discussed.
In the second section of the report, Nexans presents its Motionline cables for industrial automation. An Appendix to the White Paper lists recent Nexans success stories, innovations and references.
