Tox Pressotechnik presented its latest short-form catalogue at the 2007 Fastening and Assembly Solutions Exhibition. This contains a variety of products and technologies of interest to machine builders.
For example, the catalogue shows the Tox-Round joint, which is a patented fastenerless joining technique that uses a simple punch and die to join two similar or dissimilar sheets of metal. Also included are the Tox-ClinchRivet technology and the Tox-Fastener Insertion system for use with nuts, studs, rivets and screws.
In terms of presses, the catalogue features hand-operated toggle and rack-and-pinion presses, as well as pneumatic presses and pneumatic presses with manual approach. If greater force is required, the catalogue shows the company's Tox-Powerpackage range of pneumatic intensifiers with integrated hydraulic system and automatically activated power strokes. These 'air over oil' press units are extremely useful for machines that are primarily operated with electrical and pneumatic energy sources but have specific functions for which a higher force is required.
As a 'high-tech' alternative to the 'air over oil' presses, the short-form catalogue shows the Tox-ElectricDrive servo-driven electric units that offer an exceptional combination of control, repeatability and force.
Regardless of which press technology is employed, the Tox-Monitoring press monitoring system enables force and travel data to be collected and analysed.
