Renishaw employee recognised for STEM outreach

In November 2019, at the STEM Inspiration Awards, Stephen Pickles, Process Development Technician at Renishaw, won the Inspirational Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Technician Award. Pickles, who works at the company's Miskin site in South Wales, was praised for his dedication to STEM education outreach.

NSK appoints MCA as authorised distributor

Over the past 45 years, NSK has successfully served the Benelux market. Supplying an extensive range of linear motion technologies - including linear guides, ball screws, monocarrier and support units - NSK has established an impressive client list in the medical, semiconductor and machining industries, among others. To enhance even further the level of support available to customers, NSK has decided to transfer the distributorship for its linear product portfolio to MCA linear motion robotics, which becomes an NSK authorised distributor.

igus launches first recycling programme for energy chains

What happens when a plastic energy chain reaches its maximum service life? Usually, it is disposed of and incinerated with other plastic waste. With its "˜igus green chainge recycling program', igus is now doing something completely new: users can send their plastic chains to igus for recycling - irrespective of the manufacturer. They can eliminate disposal costs and also receive a voucher for making purchases from igus. Customers and the environment both profit from this.
