Bosch Rexroth has reported 2 years of maintenance-free production at its plant in Schweinfurt, Germany, following the installation of its own Integrated Measuring Systems (IMS), a move that has saved the company tens of thousands of Euros in maintenance and running costs.

SKF and EPTDA address the challenges of counterfeit bearings

SKF hosted the latest European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) Regional Conference at its UK headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Luton, where the prevalent issue of counterfeit goods was highlighted as a particular challenge facing industry. Founded in 1998, the EPTDA today is the largest organisation in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa, of distributors and manufacturers of power transmission and motion control products, setting high commercial, environmental, social and ethical standards.

TransDev is now stocking a wide selection of NTN-SNR bearings and linear products and, to support the company's expanded product range, has recruited an additional bearings and linear expert - John Loonam takes on the role of product manager for rotary and linear bearings. He comes with over 18 years of experience working with engineering end users and distributors, with a focus on bearings that started with successful sales and management roles at FAG and Schaeffler, and more recently at Fersa Group.
