Matching stepper motor and drive for use in hazardous areas

Following last year's launch of its STAC-6 series ATEX, IEC-Ex and UL hazardous location certified microstepping drive, Applied Motion Products (AMP) has released a compatible stepper motor - allowing a complete internationally certified motor and drive package for machine automation applications in high safety industries where explosive atmospheres are commonly found such as oil & gas, mining and printing. Available with full support from Mclennan, the new stepper motor is certified for Class I, Zone 1 locations and would typically be installed in highly hazardous areas with the matching STAC-6 drive, which has a Class I, Zone 2 certification, and suits a physically isolated location.

Parker adds P2H IO-Link node to ISO valve portfolio

Parker Hannifin has released its P2H IO-Link node, an addition to the company's popular H Series ISO valve platform. Designed with IO-Link connectivity in mind, the P2H node provides a robust means of connecting H Series valves to the IO-Link network, thus saving total system and installation costs in comparison to the use of Ethernet or hard wiring. In addition, the P2H IO-Link node is safe-power capable, meaning auxiliary valve power can be supplied by a safety device in support of the European Machinery Directive.

New flush-mounting quarter-turn and compression latches
