All-in-one electrical test tool with accurate fault localisation

Nicomatic is introducing a new multi-function tool that comes in a compact, portable case designed to simplify electrical troubleshooting. The company's Electrical Ground Support Equipment (E-GSE) TC50-eTool, developed in partnership with the ECA Group - which is renowned for its expertise in developing innovative technical solutions for use in hostile or harsh environments - enables: voltage/current/resistance measurement; phase order checking; diode testing; insulation testing; and thermal imaging. In addition, the tool uses Nicomatic's SmartCo solution based on reflectometry technology to provide precise wire-fault localisation, enabling quick diagnosis and thereby minimising aircraft ground time.

Yokogawa's redundancy software platform for use with PCs

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has developed a software platform that enables software packages to run on general-purpose computers in a redundant configuration, and has added this to its OpreXTM Control and Safety System family. This redundancy software will help raise the availability of all the options that make up Yokogawa's OpreX Control category of systems, software, and devices. By making a system redundant, high availability can be achieved. The first software packages based on this platform will be released in March of next year. These are the Exaopc OPC interface package and the Exapilot operation efficiency improvement package.

Atlas Copco launches high-capacity NGP+ nitrogen generators

Atlas Copco is adding nine energy-efficient, high-capacity models to its NGP+ nitrogen generators range. The expanded range now offers the capability to deliver on-site nitrogen at flows ranging from 5.2 l/s (19Nm3/h) to 797 l/s (2870Nm3/h), with purity levels up to 99.999 per cent and a potential 50 per cent reduction in running costs.
