CBL50: expansion of the CBL series electric cylinder from SMAC
SMAC, Inc. is introducing the CBL50, an addition to its CBL series of high-performance electric cylinders, designed to overcome problems presented by conventional devices in the packaging industry.
The CBL50 is designed to achieve high force, peak force 50N, at low current of 2A, and acceleration up to 40G. With carriage-free designs and built-in linear bearings, the CBL50 offers a long cycle life of over 100 million cycles.
This cylinder is available with a vacuum and spring option for pick and place applications. With the optional IP65 and IP67 dust-proof and water-proof feature, the CBL is suitable for demanding applications such as food and beverage processing, packaging and pharmaceutical industries. Stroke lengths of 10mm, 25mm, 50mm and 100mm will be available. They are offered with a choice of encoder resolutions 5 micron standard, 1 and 0.1 micron as optional, to satisfy a variety of packaging and general manufacturing applications.
As with all SMAC actuators, the CBL50 is fully programmable in position, velocity and force simultaneously. They are designed for fast and easy setup via Graphical User Interface for different product profiles. This results in significant savings of time and cost, and improved throughput by reducing equipment down time. SMAC's patented "Soft-land' function ensures precise contact force. As a standard feature, 100 per cent data feedback is provided.
