Citect's Alison Koh joins European board of MESA
Schneider Electric-Citect's expertise in manufacturing execution systems (MES) has been recognised with the election of Alison Koh, Citect MES Director for Europe, to the European board of the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA). MESA is an association of producers, vendors and consultants whose aim is to promote innovation and best practice sharing to improve business production operations.
Alison Koh has 10 years of experience of control systems, MES and consulting in mining, oil and gas, and food and beverage industries. Through her roles in engineering, business process improvement, sales and continuous improvement consulting, she has assisted many organisations globally to achieve significant returns on investment as a result of applying technology to improvement initiatives. This wide-ranging expertise will now be deployed educationally, upon MESA's behalf, delivering best practice experience in the key areas of lean manufacturing, real-time enterprise and asset performance management.
Koh says: "MES is a technology that many companies across all industry sectors in Europe are a little uncertain of. My role with MESA is to educate these companies; to take the fear out of embarking upon MES projects and to prove that MES is essentially a simple concept that can be deployed in logical steps to provide quantum improvements in business performance."
Alison Koh graduated in 1996 with a BE Mech Honours Degree from New South Wales University, Australia. Her background is in engineering, with a focus on control systems and associated reporting systems, predominantly in the mining and oil and gas industries. She is currently based at Citect's European head office in the Netherlands, her previous post being at Citect's headquarters in Australia.
In her role as Schneider Electric-Citect's MES Director for Citect in Europe, Koh specialises in assisting businesses in their drive to accelerate their operational excellence strategies. Her aim is to assist companies focused on improving business processes with a foundation of real-time intelligence, via the implementation of Ampla, Schneider Electric-Citect's MES real-time intelligence software.
MESA International is a community of manufacturing companies, information technology hardware suppliers, system integrators, consulting service providers, analysts and software companies, whose purpose is to improve business production operations through the optimised implementation of information technology and best practice management techniques.
