Barcodes and Data Matrix may be excellent for nine out of ten projects, but when RFID is the answer, you need to work with experts. Codeway has therefore teamed up with Scemtec, one of Europe's RFID technology companies.
Michael Schmidt, Scemtec's application expert, will be on Codeway's stand at the 2008 PPMA show to advise on RFID products. Visitors can see Bluetooth wands for product and asset tracking, short- and mid-range readers for process control, a tunnel reader for monitoring multiple items in boxes, and long-range readers for pallet tracking.
Scemtec designs and builds RFID readers, encoders, antennae and sensors. To do this, Scemtec has a highly specialised team of engineers for high-frequency engineering, electronic development and the wide field of software development of micro-controller and digital signal processors available.
Codeway systems are used in a wide range of industries, from timber to cars. Codeway's activities can be as varied as labelling jam jars and pricing plants for garden centres, measuring cartons and applying routing labels, putting SSCC labels on double-stacked pallets, tracking vehicles at ports, etc.
