CodingControl 1.0 Certified as powered by SAP NetWeaver

CodingControl 1.0 is an SAP-certified integration platform that interfaces with the SAP ERP application and coding, labelling and vision systems. It has been developed to support SAP customers who use coding hardware to mark the products they manufacture with required details. A simple example of this is the "coding' of a bottle of water with a "Best Before' end date and batch number information.

A major reason for a product recall is the mislabelling of that product, and coding errors make up a high percentage of such recalls. The effects of this are felt all the way from the production line to the end user.

CodingControl is designed to address these issues. It enables users of SAP software to define templates of the data to appear on the products and to verify that the data is correct via a preview transaction.

It then uses a process of "template determination' to ensure that the correct template is applied to the selected product. Finally, it allows the data to be issued to the coding-hardware external system via a variety of data transfer methods.

CodingControl removes the need to manually enter the data into the coding hardware, which is both time consuming and inherently risky.

This platform also provides a cockpit for managing primary and secondary coding, vision systems and print and apply devices. The system has been proven to integrate with SAP solutions, providing self-configurable SAP data extraction while interfacing with production/packing line equipment to provide automated central control.

SAP SE confirms that the ABAP interface software for the product CodingControl 1.0 has been certified for integration with SAP NetWeaver 7.01 via the SAP integration scenario ABAP Add-On Deployment for SAP NetWeaver.
