EMKA is adding a compact three-digit combination lock to its Fort range of locks, suitable for office furniture, cupboards, alarms, lockers, toolboxes, etc. Its simple operation and low cost offer better security than many key systems, without the problems of lost/broken keys. Rapid fixing and a variety of tab styles are important features.
The extended Fort range includes barrels, cam-locks and special locks with the flexible Fort key system and uses standard UK mounting hole dimensions of 16.6 x 19.1mm. 500 key combinations are available for popular styles such as the K8, K9 and K10 locks. The range offers many variants of barrel length, cam type and key rotation (1/4 or 1/2 turn) as well as key removal possibilities in four different modes. These enable the key to be retained or removed in the open or unlocked position.
Cylinders may be mounted with a back-nut or by means of a spring slide clip for speed and simplicity. Customers can also specify lock barrels sealed against adverse weather conditions.
A number of hand knob latches and recessed cabinet handles is included in the full Fort programme. Made-to-measure custom barrels are also offered in standard diameters of 10, 12 and 13.5mm.
