Despite this summer being one of the wettest on records, and the majority of stands being located outside, this year's Hillhead quarrying exhibition pulled in a record number of visitors. Brevini Power Transmission, exhibiting in partnership with Brevini Fluid Power also proved popular - the combination of the two groups offering visitors one of the most efficient, reliable and complete power systems packages available on the market today.
Visitors to the stand were able to speak to the company's expert sales team about its range of innovative geared power transmission products, offering robust performance, high-reduction ratios and excellent efficiency levels. Coupled with the hydraulic motors, power packs and valve controls of its sister company, Brevini Fluid Power (formally S. A. M. Hydraulik), Brevini Power Transmission is able to engineer complete, bespoke systems for all static and mobile plant equipment used in quarrying, mining and waste & recycling applications.
Many of Brevini's power transmission offerings were on display, including its range of planetary gears, which offer up to 98 per cent efficiency per stage, and the PIV Posiplan gearbox, which combines the high efficiency, high reduction ratios and low weight of planetary gear stages with the strength, capacity and durability of bevel helical gears. Each product is designed to withstand the harsh environments found in quarries and mines and offers superior reduction ratios which are suitable for high-torque / low-speed applications.
Dave Brown, Brevini UK Sales Manager, comments: "Hillhead had its usual fantastic atmosphere this year. The stand proved extremely popular and it was great to publicly display the flexibility and huge product range that our partnership with Brevini Fluid Power offers to customers. The ability to provide for virtually all the power and power transmission needs on one vehicle or machine, from one company, with our level of experience, was completely in line with customer wishes as they look to reduce the number of suppliers and inventory they handle, and move to more of a supply and engineering partnership with their remaining suppliers. It was great to meet so many people from the industry with the same views and we came away with some extremely promising and valuable leads."
