Variohm EuroSensor is releasing a new combined pressure and temperature sensor in a miniature design that offers space-saving and installation advantages plus significant cost savings when compared with equivalent models available on the market today. The EPTTE1400 has been intensively tested and proven in the demanding motorsports arena, but is equally suited to gas or liquid condition monitoring for other challenging industrial process-monitoring applications.
Complementing Variohm's EPTT5100 series combined pressure/temperature sensor and part of the versatile EPT pressure sensor range, the new EPTTE1400 is available in five standard gauge pressure range models, from 0..2bar to 0..25bar, with a PT1000 compatible temperature range of -50degC to +150degC. The sensor's accuracy specification is within +/- 0.8 per cent, and with linearity to less than 1 per cent it also boasts an excellent temperature response time. The sensors' excitation voltage for pressure is 5V DC for a 0.5"¦.4.5V DC ratiometric output.
The new combined sensor features high level ASIC output circuitry with a well-proven thin-film strain gauge pressure measuring cell that contains no silicon or oil and no internal O-rings for safe and reliable operation. The new sensor has IP67 sealing and is finished in high-strength stainless steel with an industry-standard M8 port interface and 600mm sleeved electrical cable. Optional boot protection over the housing is also available.
