Compact industrial computer with freely selectable equipment

The new VL3 UPC ultra-compact industrial computer from Phoenix Contact features a sixth generation Intel Atom processor in dual-core or quad-core versions, the latest DDR4 RAM, and integrated preinstalled non-volatile memory express solid-state memory modules.

The systems are passively cooled. In the basic configuration, they feature a DisplayPort 1.4 interface for high-resolution displays with multi-stream transport for supplying multiple displays with signals simultaneously. Furthermore, all devices include two 2.5 Gb Ethernet interfaces and high-speed USB 3.1 ports. The configurable item can be extended by two serial interfaces, which can be set as RS-232/422/485. WLAN (a, b, g, n) is available as a configuration option in the 100 x 100 x 50 mm basic housing. For mounting, DIN rail or wall mounting via a mounting bracket are available.

In addition, there are two extension modules that increase the height of the industrial PC by 30 mm. The first extension option provides two additional 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports, an M.2 socket, and an M.2 interface for memory extension devices. The second extension option is a 4G/LTE modem, which also includes an M.2 interface for memory extension. This extension module is already prepared for future 5G modems.
