Compact M12 Power L-code connectors rated to 0.75kW
The new M12 Power L-code connector is now available from Harting in all versions. Meeting the power requirements of Industry 4.0 systems, the new M12 Power product is designed to replace 7/8-inch circular connectors by offering a powerful 0.75kW rating from a compact package that is well suited to operation within confined spaces.
This new interconnect meets the requirements of IEC 61076-2-111 (the forthcoming standard for M12 power connectors), with standardised housing connections that represent a major step towards miniaturisation for power connectors. Its space-saving housing and excellent performance make the M12 L-coded well suited to use in demanding operating conditions.
Combined with the 360-degree shield, the metal housing also provides good EMC protection. The four power contacts and Fast Ethernet cable can carry power to field distributor boxes, network devices and even small servo motors. As a result, all connected devices and their associated controls can be provided with sufficient power via the M12 connection.
