Phoenix Contact's new Fame 2 test system, which was awarded the Red Dot Award 2014, is suitable for all measuring and testing tasks in network protection technology.
Complex switching operations in medium and high-voltage switchgear can now be carried out safely in just one testing. This is supported by the patented safety twist grip. The test plug allows the switching sequence of the individual functions to be carried out with safe chronological disconnection with a switching operation via three different contact tab lengths.
A special feature is the automatic, leading transformer short circuit and this ensures a high level of safety during measuring. All switching tasks for current and voltage transducer measuring can be carried out easily using the system accessories from the Clipline complete modular terminal block system. Switching states, particularly the safety-related short-circuit jumpers, are thereby clearly recognisable. Test leads are easily and safely contacted with standardized 4mm safety test plugs.
The modular system enables the right number of positions for every application. There are two versions: Fame 1 with operating plug and Fame 2 with N/C contact function without additional operating plug. Both systems are available for wall or DIN rail mounting.
