Compact slide offers accuracy and exceptional reliability
The PMM compact slide from Micromech offers consistently high accuracy and reliability that is claimed to be unsurpassed. Thanks to the innovative design combined with a fine adjustment (preloading is by selection on ball diameter), these slides feature low friction, smooth running and a long service life.
Designed for rapid and precise movements, the slides have stainless steel table bodies. They come in three sizes with stroke lengths of 5-70mm. Ultra-compact and lightweight, the bodies are made from stainless steel type 1.4034 and hardness 54-57HRC.
The PMM slides can be mounted horizontally or vertically and the specially designed U-shaped ball cage, which is made of brass, eliminates cage creep through the use of screws inside the assembly. The slide-top and centre rails are of equal lengths, and the mounting surfaces are precision ground. All the flanks of the slide are ground parallel to the guideways and can therefore serve as reference faces. The slide-top and centre rail are provided with tapped attachment holes on a standard pitch.
These miniature slides weigh from only 2-70g and are aimed at scientific, pharmaceutical and research applications.
