Complete standard CNC package for machine tools

Through complete integration of CNC, PLC and motion control in one controller, the innovative package combines excellent dynamics with high levels of precision for process movements, as well as ensuring increased machine throughput while simultaneously raising quality. The function modules in the standard CNC package are designed to provide all of the important functions for CNC machine tools. Users can take advantage of all basic functions for operation, configuration and diagnostics of the entire system and, in particular, all of the axes and CNC channels.

Complete synchronisation

Interpolation times in the microsecond range with full synchronisation between the individual control programs produces an excellent basis for providing customers with high-performance control. Deterministic Ethernet Powerlink real-time communications ensures that the CNC axes - and also all drive and I/O peripherals - are synchronised to the interpolation clock and position controller cycle with an accuracy in the nanosecond range.

It is also possible to access the system functions in the Visual Components software. The preprogrammed visualisation components include both 'classic' components, such as parameter settings and movement program operation, as well as tools such as simulation, logging and process diagnostics.

At the heart of the CNC package is a 15inch panel in portrait format, based on a Power Panel 400 with additional integrated operating elements. Programmable function and navigation keys make it easy to control the visualisation system, and a navigation wheel can also be used for input elements on all pages of the visualisation application. Six preset page selection keys provide quick access to the main pages so that menu items may be reached more quickly.

The CNC panel is complemented by a handheld device that makes it possible for the machine operator to move freely around the machine and make required entries at convenient locations. Machine processes can be easily controlled using a handwheel and additional operating elements.
