Conrad introduces Quint Power from Phoenix Contact

Conrad Business Supplies has begun stocking a brand new range of highly customisable power supplies - the Quint Power range from Phoenix Contact.

Conrad introduces Quint Power from Phoenix Contact

Quint Power is described as the first parameterisable power supply in the world. It can be supplied to customers pre-configured allowing them to implement power directly into their systems with no additional configuration required in manufacturing.

The Quint Power range comprises a total of six different variants, offering nominal powers of 120W, 240W and 480W in a convenient DIN-rail mounting format. Input voltages of 100V AC or 400V AC ensure compatibility with most industrial applications.

Configuration of signalling thresholds and characteristic curves is easily (and wirelessly) accomplished with a smartphone or tablet using the integrated NFC interface. The extended preventative function monitoring warns of system-specific, critical operating states in good time before faults occur.

The integrated Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB) technology delivers six times the nominal current for up to 15mS to selectively trip standard circuit breakers. Static boost provides up to 125 per cent of the nominal current continuously allowing the system to be extended while dynamic boost delivers 200 per cent of the nominal current for up to five seconds to start heavy loads, or loads with high inrush requirements.

Benedikt Sehr, Product Manager, Category Business Supplies comments: "Phoenix Contact has been a key range for Conrad Business Supplies since 1998. We are very happy to be able to add this brand new power supply type to our range of over 7500 Phoenix Contact products. Our customers will benefit from the advanced features that the parametrisable Quint Power offers."
