Corcom SB power line filters are half height of alternatives
Tyco Electronics is introducing a new Corcom SB power line filters series of highly versatile and compact EMI/RFI filter products. These filters are enhanced versions of the popular Corcom B series filters and offer significantly improved common and differential mode performance. A very compact height of only 1.53inch (38.86mm) makes the SB series filters one of the smallest power line filter products currently on the market and useful for space-constrained applications in industrial machinery equipment. Due to the very compact height, the 30A version, for example, is said to be only half the size of other 30A filters.
SB series filters can also be used as a simple clean up filter in a wide range of electronic applications (such as TV/audio/video equipment, computing and accessories, home appliances, medical equipment, gaming machines and fitness equipment) in industries including appliances, lighting, data centres, communications, energy, automotive, medical, aerospace, defence and marine. The devices meet current UL, CSA and VDE requirements and provide a very strong insertion loss performance as well as a DC rating of 250V DC.
Technical specifications of the SB series filters include a rated current of 6A up to 30A, an operating frequency of 50/60Hz and an operating temperature range of -10 up to +40degC. Low-leakage versions that meet the current VDE requirements for portable equipment and UL544 non-patient medical equipment are also available.
