Custom springs, wireforms, stampings and assemblies
Lee Spring says that its new Custom Springs Direct streamlined process for the design and manufacture of custom springs, wire forms, washers, stampings, four-slide parts and assemblies enables most project timescales to be met.
The Lee Spring brand name has a global reputation for providing high quality and a wide range of 'off the shelf' catalogue spring products. However, more engineers are becoming aware of the in-depth custom design and manufacturing capability that the company can provide.
Lee Spring has been manufacturing custom springs and wire forms since 1918. The company's experienced engineers can work closely with customers from inception to completion so that nothing is left to chance. Custom Springs Direct
Lee Spring introduced the Custom Springs Direct service to speed up delivery of bespoke products. Customers can email a drawing of their design idea direct to the dedicated custom spring design email address [email protected] and the team will respond with a quote within 24 hours. Alternatively they can call direct on +44 (0)118 978 1800 and ask to speak to Darren Eyre. Other information that makes ordering and specifying easier is available on the company website. Note that Lee Spring can work from not only CAD drawings, but also hand-drawn designs, specifications and part samples.
A virtually unlimited variety of spring configurations and specifications can be manufactured via the Custom Springs Direct service:
- Compression and extension spring wire diameters: 0.005 to 0.500inch
- Torsion spring wire diameters: 0.005 to 0.187inch
A wide range of alloys is also offered:
- Stainless Steel 17-7 and 316
- Phosphor bronze
- Hastelloy
- Inconel 600, 718 and x750
- Beryllium copper
- Elgiloy
- ...and many others
Four-slide parts are available as follows:
- Wire diameter: 0.005 to 0.187inch
- Strip width: 0.010 to 0.500inch
- Strip thickness: 0.003 to 0.125inch
